Which swimming instructor course should I take in Singapore?
If you are new to swim teaching, start with SSI Level 1. If you want to teach advanced swimmers, add Level 2. If you want to teach babies and toddlers, take Baby & Me. The Penguin Pro Bundle combines all four certifications in 5 days at the best value.
Is SSI certification recognised in Singapore and internationally?
Yes. SSI (Swim Schools International) is one of the world's leading aquatic education organisations, with certifications recognised in over 130 countries. SSI qualifications are accepted by swim schools, aquatic centres, and sports facilities globally.
Do I need prior teaching experience to enrol?
No prior teaching experience is required. You need to be at least 16 years old and comfortable in the water (able to swim 200m continuously). All courses are beginner-friendly in terms of teaching methodology.
How long does it take to become a certified swim instructor in Singapore?
As little as 1.5 days for SSI Level 1, or 5 days for the full Penguin Pro Bundle (Level 1, Level 2, Baby & Me, and React Right). Course schedules are confirmed upon registration.
Can I get a job after completing the course?
Yes. Graduates of Penguin Academy are eligible to apply to join Penguin Swim Classes as instructors. This gives you an immediate path into paid coaching without having to source your own clients.
Where are the courses held?

Is there an installment payment option?
